Aylsham Show Success

Our first foray as an exhibitor at The Aylsham Agricultural Show this year gave us a great opportunity to tell our story and recruit new reading support volunteers. We shared a marquee with Aylsham Care Trust (ACT) and Mind. Outside the marquee our new tear-drop banner was displayed for maximum exposure.

To attract attention we staged a free competition to win a £50 voucher from Jarrolds. Contestants had to guess how many e’s and E’s were on a colourful board. Thirty-nine people entered but only one posted the correct answer - Helen Middleton of Old Catton – congratulations!

Volunteers, sporting colourful new TNRP polo shirts, with a QR code on the sleeve, manned the stand throughout the day. They were Lynn Brooks, Anne Williams, Pauline Hathaway, Lesley Penniket and Alison Gilmour. Special mention to Lynn who helped set up the stand, which she described as “fun and a steep learning curve.”

Anne and Rita Bleasdale represented TNRP at theparade in the main ring, following old tractors, new sugar beet harvesters and stroppy bulls.

TNRP remains indebted to The Aylsham Agricultural Show for its continued, generous support of our work.
