Beyond the Book - our next event

Our volunteers are warmly invited to our next workshop on Saturday June 20th titled 'Beyond the Book'.

Once again this will take place at The Narthex Centre, St John The Baptist RC Cathedral, Unthank Road, Norwich, NR2 2PA. Sandwiches, cake, tea and coffee will be served from 2pm.

Recently-retired headteacher Debra Whiting, who taught at a primary school in Great Yarmouth, will talk about what deprivation looks like, how it impacts reading and learning and how volunteers can make a difference. The workshop will be story-led, discussion-based and practical throughout.
