Reluctant Readers

Over 60 volunteers came to our latest workshop dealing with strategies to cope with reluctant readers. David Jones, a lecturer in education at UEA, shared some of his personal experiences and suggested various ways to encourage and support the children who do not want to engage with reading. It was a great chance to pick up new ideas, meet fellow volunteers and replenish stickers. Our next event with author and illustrator Patrick Mayhew is at The Assembly Rooms on October 28.
